This is located in the floors of the great Rift Valley ,currently Elgeiyo~Marakwet county.It borders the scenic escarpment of the vally adjacent is Lake Kamnarock which has recently almost dried up which forms part of the conservation efforts.
Rimoi boasts with a number of wildlife such the elephants which roam out and about the reserve,small mammals such as Dikdik,unpalatable,Bush pig,warthog,monkeys,civet and many reptiles.
