It’s the second biggest mountains in Kenya ,The mountain is covered with vast areas of natural forest and huge Elgon teak and cedar trees that tower 24 metres above the forest grounds. Mt Elgon is also known for its lava tube caves which are frequented by the resident Elephants.
The mountains park has many cliffs,caves,waterfalls,gorges and many wildlife.
The mountain peak called Koitobos (4155m) above sea level provides a spectacular view for visitors.
